Tangee Coleman, Director

An experienced educator with over 25 years in the field, I have a strong background in developing and implementing high-quality programs for children. For the past six years, as Preschool Director, I successfully transformed a Mom's Day Out program into a thriving preschool and elementary school, significantly increasing enrollment. My work also focused on empowering families and strengthening parent-child relationships.

As a former Children's Ministry Director, I developed my leadership skills by managing teams, coordinating programs, and building strong family connections. My passion is to help children discover their unique gifts and talents, guiding them to embrace their true selves and serve their purpose.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an ESE Endorsement and am an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I am committed to continuous professional growth, holding credentials such as the National Directors Credential, the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and certifications in Trauma-Informed Care. This diverse experience and dedication to learning allow me to create exceptional programs that help children and families thrive.

Highly Qualified & Compassionate Educators

Our teachers and support staff are highly qualified, credentialed professionals who specialize in early childhood and K–5 education. Each team member meets rigorous standards, including:

  • Successful completion of Level 2 background screenings ensures that educators are cleared to work with children and maintain a safe environment.

  • 45 hours of comprehensive training in health and safety, child abuse prevention, and specialized instruction equip educators with the necessary skills to address the diverse needs of their students effectively.

  • Being CPR/First Aid certified further underscores a commitment to student safety and preparedness in emergencies.

BE Academy partners with families through our unique homeschool-hybrid division, which combines the best of private education and home instruction.

  • On-Campus Learning: Students engage in core academics like Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science, along with enriching explorations.

  • At-Home Learning: Parents lead instruction with structured guidance and resources provided by our team.

We offer flexible options for K–5 students to take classes and electives either in person or virtually.
